I searched a bit and I think we could also use panasonic 6SVPE180M. this seems to be well available at mouser, digikey,... and also at lcsc

Thanks for taking a look for a replacement. I think the main constraint was to get the right capacitance and keep the cap from being too tall. In anticipation of having some kind of case for the Glasgow.

The point is to be able to fit it under a lid if we only expose the connectors.

For a production run if we order a full reel of the original caps, we should hopefully be fine.

The real issue was with prototypes where you have to work with the existing inventories of distributors.

the 6SVPE180M is 5.9mm high, that is a bit smaller than the pin header for the sync, so I think it would work fine

we could also try to change the footprint to caps with 6.3mm diameter, they are more common than the 5mm we have now
