<Chick3nman> FreshFund: what exactly is your plan?
<Chick3nman> because i dont feel like its going to work
<traderman> hey
<FreshFund> so ive put my grc into polo
<FreshFund> going to sell at ~ $0.8 per 100 grc for btc or some other coin, bring that coin to c-cex, and then purchase as many grc as I can afford, at ~ $0.6 pre 100 grv
<Chick3nman> lol
<Chick3nman> well
<Chick3nman> thats probably not going to work too terribly well
<Chick3nman> but i wouldnt be surprised if you did make a little bit
<Chick3nman> even with the fees for transactions and withdrawl
barton26 has left #gridcoin [#gridcoin]
<FreshFund> im assuming that the %20+ change in price will be wittled down to ~ 10% profit
<FreshFund> will let you know how it goes.. just liquidating the grc right now
<FreshFund> into btc
<[-SaRaFiNa-]> Linked by Chick3nman - Content type: image/png
<Chick3nman> these are your margins
<FreshFund> yea.. well see if it all gets eaten up by fees or not pretty soon lol
<FreshFund> but atleast there is a nice guage for future opportunities aswell
<Chick3nman> LOL
<Chick3nman> jk
<Chick3nman> thats not the margin
<Chick3nman> that number is a lie
<Chick3nman> lowest SELL order on c-cex is 1343
<Chick3nman> on polo the buy/sell is hovering 1350
<Chick3nman> there is a 0007 margin there
<Chick3nman> the lowest BUY order is 1268

<Erkan_Yilmaz> "error: no response from server" means your daemon is not reacting
<Erkan_Yilmaz> itmay be because you did the reindex
<Erkan_Yilmaz> but using an old GRidcoin is stupid anyways
<Erkan_Yilmaz> in the last 6 months we had so many upgrades
<yang> I dont think its the old one
<Erkan_Yilmaz> kill it and update it
<Erkan_Yilmaz> or waste time!
<yang> i have a new one I assume from git
<yang> recently compiled
<yang> can I "kick" it so it starts syncing again or what

<Peppernrino> why/
<redalert2fan> I hear you suggest moo last time Peppernrino
<Ryanestrasz> i feel i can do the most good for humanity through WHO.
<Peppernrino> there is no WHO project
<Ryanestrasz> that, and i know a lot of people with cancer and a lot of people with AIDs.
<Peppernrino> and you're probably mistaken, if you're not talking about BOINC
<Ryanestrasz> so ive spent the last year or so mapping cancer markers and fighting aids at home.
<Peppernrino> yoiu mean WCG
<Peppernrino> not WHO
<Ryanestrasz> ah yes, WCG
<Ryanestrasz> thank you ;)

<ColdFish> not even a gtx980 makes a dent
<ColdFish> nowadays
<Peppernrino> redalert2fan: yep.

<Chick3nman> looks like the test wallet coldfish sent has a 32byte key area
<Chick3nman> up to 35 including IV
<Chick3nman> and rounds
<Chick3nman> so it is NOT pbkdf2-sha256
<tom12> Oh Thanks apc too

<Mercosity> !!Tanks!! apc for everything it arrived today!! Need patch lead and I'm away! Already ordered.
<apc> excellent!
<Chick3nman> really weird that its 32bytes at rest in the wallet
<Chick3nman> if it were scrypt
<Chick3nman> but the salt was stored elsewhere
<Chick3nman> then it would make sense
<ColdFish> we need to get rob here
<ColdFish> I can almost promise he could tell me the pw by just sneezing in the direction of my wallet
<Chick3nman> it looks to be the same as bitcoin-qt in formatting
<Chick3nman> but the code is different
<Chick3nman> whats the password to that test wallet?
<Chick3nman> dicks123?
<Chick3nman> :P
<ColdFish> I cant tell you that D:

<Chick3nman> lol
<ColdFish> so chick3n.. how long you reckon you'll take once you figure the salt out ?
<jacwib> Montec, how fast does boinc run on an rpi?
<Montec> Uh, well the GUI is smooth, but if you mean projects, not that fast
<Montec> However
<Montec> The first project was finished in 2 hours
<redalert2fan> using team viewer instead of wrd also works
<Montec> So I don't know
<jacwib> I wish i could use my phone, but nativeboinc hates me.
<Chick3nman> Coldfish, once i get a working implementation, I can actually use all my normal attacks to break it
<Montec> Deasn't let use the costom url huh?
<Chick3nman> so pretty damn fast
<Montec> Ill ject, one sec
<apc> redalert2fan yes remote desktop breaks boinc gpu
<Montec> check*

<apc> you have to use vnc

<apc> even with a screen plugged in
<vega40k> yes
<apc> RDP will break it
<apc> you can VNC even without a screen plugged in
<Montec> Ok, I changed project like 6 hours ago on my raspberry pi and now it's running collatz cojecture
<vega40k> but only with dummy plug ?
<Montec> It takes around 10 hours for one task
<apc> shouldn't need a dummy plug or anything
<vega40k> ok ty

<vega40k> Montec: collatz is a GPU project

<Erkan_Yilmaz> hi caraka
<Erkan_Yilmaz> ask me what ?
<fediverse> moin, may the 25 speculating GRC Gods smile at you today. Do you know what's happening with BOINC project 'theSkyNet POGS' ?
* Erkan_Yilmaz backreads
<aleksgor83> why magnitude so low(2.5)
<Destined> I might have just pissed a few people off and steemit pointing out how their theoretical posts were completely fucked up because they assumed things existed we only theorized becuase they didnt realize they werent real things lol
<apc> what is "real" anyway?
<Erkan_Yilmaz> ah about the line "1 BTC = $599.38 = 524.53 EUR"
<Destined> Like the space travel post about real concerns for energy in space where they talked about using antimatter and it being dangerous because its so volatile, when we havent ever even confirmed it actually exists for a fact only theorized it.
<caraka> jamezz was talking about a !renminbi command Erkan_Yilmaz
<Yoduza> magnitude :O
<apc> erm what? antimatter has been created plenty of times
<Destined> No it hasnt
<apc> even contained for a few fractions of a second
<Erkan_Yilmaz> no idea what a !renminbi command should do
<caraka> tell us the value of grc versus renminbi
FreshFund has joined #gridcoin
<Destined> I just researched to make sure and its still only theoretical according to every scientific source out there thats online
<apc> you're confusing the common definition of theory with the scientific definition
<apc> the fact that you exist is just a theory
<Erkan_Yilmaz> ok, CNY
<caraka> yes, !cny

<ColdFish> didnt really remember, just saw that as a part of the last attempted words :C
<jamezz> but goodluck , glad to see other electronic hobbyists here
<Chick3nman> OH MY GOD IT WORKS
<Chick3nman> MY IMPLEMENTATION WORKS
<Chick3nman> LET ME TRY MY GPU CODE
<Yoduza> jamezz, first coil (voltage) work on 2.5mhz and second coil (current) work 75KHz
<FreshFund> congrats!!

<ColdFish> D:
<ColdFish> This means we both have a shot at crackin' that mofo :D
<Yoduza> 10kW
<ColdFish> wanna tell me what your method relies on ?
<ColdFish> so I can tell you str8 away if it has any odds of workin.. cuz a generic wordlist aint gonna cut it, fosho
<Chick3nman> OMG GPU CODE WORKSSSSSS
<Chick3nman> fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
<jamezz> i know how coils work.... your making a transformer
<jamezz> lemme guess , copper plate in the chair and X10 system :)
<Chick3nman> i do dict+rules almost always, plus a few other tricks and things
<jamezz> wait , no i did that
<Chick3nman> this is a slower hash type though
<Yoduza> transformer it when not lenght 1: 1/4
<Chick3nman> so im limited in the rules i can apply and the number i can test at one time
<jamezz> 1:0.25
<Chick3nman> i can do hybrids as well if that would be more applicable
<Yoduza> if 1:1/4 then boost current and voltage
<vega40k> easy -> walletpassphrase PASSWORD TIMEOUT true
<Yoduza> but every lenght have own frequency and time
<ColdFish> did you try crackin the wallet yet ?
<jamezz> just take a C or D battery , and a 12vac transformer... and connect the 1.5VDC battery to the output 12v and then have your best buddy touch the AC side
<ColdFish> cuz if that wallet doesnt crack, we're doomed :DD
<FreshFund> ColdFish lose your pass?
<jamezz> wait your running the model A client?
<Yoduza> current not boost
<jamezz> um
<Chick3nman> actually
<Chick3nman> i cn do you 1 better.
<vega40k> error: value is type bool, expected int :-((((((
<ColdFish> Sort of. was around 1.5 years since I last used it, and I made my PW manager in january, so the pw isnt there.
<jamezz> no , because not trying to kill anyone
<Chick3nman> i can have you extract just the hash from the wallet since i know the script now
<Chick3nman> and that way anyone can attempt it without having the wallet itself
Emptybeerbottle has joined #gridcoin
<ColdFish> cool beans :D
<ColdFish> eg we can make it into a boinc project
<ColdFish> :P
<Chick3nman> actually, even better plan would just be to post it on hashkiller.co.uk or insidepro
<vega40k> gn8 and gl
<jamezz> all you are doing is adding resistance
<Chick3nman> put a small reward if no one goes for initially and you are pretty damn sure to get it cracked
<jamezz> a bid ass coil
<jamezz> right?
<Chick3nman> assuming i'm not able to out of the gate
<jamezz> that video looks like a big ol electric magnet
<ColdFish> hmm..
<ColdFish> So, time to tell me where I get der hash.
<Chick3nman> let me mod the extract scripts i have
<Chick3nman> and ill post it here
<Yoduza> that video show how to boost current and voltage ~ 6%
<Chick3nman> can your un python?
<Chick3nman> you run*
<jamezz> anyways whats it half an amp to kill someone , hence why the toaster in the tub doesnt work... unless faulty breaker
<ColdFish> aye, I can.
<ColdFish> p27 ?
<ColdFish> or ya using 35 ?
<jamezz> Yoduza , i am sorry i couldnt understand him 1 bit... I am a murrican ... But electronics hobbyist and other shit ham , shortwave radio
<jamezz> i still dont get why
<Yoduza> jamezz, may be need more links ?
<jamezz> so there is " heat " so loss
<jamezz> why not just get a bigger power supply?
<jamezz> lol
<jamezz> because if you do what i saw , there is going to be more load on the supply too
<jamezz> and what are you plugging the end of that tap into?

<jamezz> like that video , i use the same concept but for something else.... without running direct AC into it or DC , I use RF... and I have to tap in different spots of the coil for different ham radio bands

<Peppernrino> Destined: i'm always high.
<moisesm123> power went out yesterday at 2:30PM
<Destined> Peppernrino I know
<slimeball> we had a power outage here 2 million people at that time , that lasted 13 days for the last 60k in 1996
<Peppernrino> :D
<Destined> Sometimes your just extra high thou :P
<Destined> Like when you talk in nonsensical riddles lol
<slimeball> i was 1 of the 60k

<Destined> I didn't even pay attention to what the distro was really

<slimeball> what what what?
<Chick3nman> i havent started yet
<Mercosity> .
<Phay> uh
<slimeball> wow thats new for GPUGRID
<Chick3nman> ?
<slimeball> strait up 1 whole CPU core + the gpu.... aint seen it do that before... usually its reverse you know like .97 CPU and 1 NVidia GPU
<Chick3nman> lol
<slimeball> thats like OLD
<Chick3nman> its always 1 core per GPU
<slimeball> but its cuda 65
<Chick3nman> they still dont have pascal support do they?
<Chick3nman> if they do i may shift over to them for a bit
<Phay> fkinglag. you up/on?
<slimeball> i think , this is a just because my settings... changed shit around... local and site
<slimeball> I could swear the .97 CPUs and 1 GPU is what it was running on my system
<apc> bah! bah, I say!
* apc reinstalls ubuntu 16 again
<slimeball> looking at other projects , that could correct
<slimeball> but i know , this is the old school method like when gpu's started crunching boinc
<slimeball> from what i was reading earlier..
<Phay> eh
<Phay> later i think
<slimeball> anyways , Chick3nman i changed the cc_config.xml from this channels !gpugrid and an outdated website to try and bring down run times
