<jhiswin2> :')
<apc> it's time for season 2 of breaking bad. and sleeping pills. can't forget the sleeping pills
<jhiswin2> but GRC needs some value input, or it'll just keep sliding like it is now
<apc> that means people need to see grc as a store of value. I don't expect that to happen until eth goes pos
<Erkan_Yilmaz> thanks apc
<jhiswin2> not necessarily a bad thing, but it could use some exchanging with others
<Erkan_Yilmaz> cards? sound slike what foldingcoin does
<jhiswin2> ya MAGICFLD, they have a FDCARD asset that translates to a playable card on Spells of Genesis
<jhiswin2> it's being distributed again this month, something like 300?
<jhiswin2> and they're apparently raining BCY funds on the folders
<jhiswin2> buuut ya, fldcoin is pretty much in a worse boat than GRC, so their approach may not be the one to follow
<Peppernrino> Gridcoin: The Gathering
<apc> I don't know anything about that which you are talking, but I already see it as being option-limited, and therefore undesirable

* apc scrolls
<apc> magic the gathering?
<jhiswin2> something like that, but where the cards are actual cryptocurrency assets
<jhiswin2> similar idea is Sarutobi coin
<apc> I'm ignorant. peppernrino will have to handle things from here
<jhiswin2> to give an example, SatoshiCard was sold for equiv of 3700 USD
<jhiswin2> and then this SatoshiCard can be added to your game account on Spells of Genesis or Moonga
<jhiswin2> game account linked to your XCP wallet
<jhiswin2> on a MTG type computer game as a playable card, which
<apc> I... I bought Doom 2016 a few weeks ago. I can haz game?
<jhiswin2> well, it's not quite Doom..
<jhiswin2> ever see those kids on the bus/train playing those lame trading card type phone games
<jhiswin2> that shoot beams of w/e at each other and do damage, usually with hot girl mage avatars on them
<apc> I've not. but I did play magic back when you could get packs of cards out of vending machines
<jhiswin2> well okay, think of it like that, on a phone with fancier animations
<jhiswin2> and the cards are directly associated with a bitcoin or gridcoin or w/e
<apc> that's like ebooks times 6. going too far. half the value of having a valuable card is actually having the physical card
<apc> give me paper or give me death (by paper cuts)!
<jhiswin2> welll.. perhaps
<jhiswin2> but they have a convincing precedent with Moonga
<apc> I would google that word, but I have season 2 of breaking bad to get started
<apc> priorities
<jhiswin2> agreed
<jhiswin2> ill explain it easily, they were #1 on Japan's phone game list for a bit
<jhiswin2> *only in RPG category
<jhiswin2> so, there is a precedent for an electronic trading card game

<ravon> Can you do both nvidia and AMD cards at the same time in Linux?
<ravon> fglrx conflicts with xorg-driver-binary
<ravon> nvidia-367 provides xorg-driver-binary and is present and installed.
<LokiToki> ravon: i haven't tried it yet but i expiriencend a lot of problems with the fglrx driver. What linux do u use and which cards?
<ravon> LokiToki, Ubuntu xenial on a 650 Ti and a Radeon HD 6950
<ravon> Managed to install fglrx-core. We'll see if that's enough for mining.
<slimeball> weeee doggys
<LokiToki> Hm, i'm pretty shure that u won't have problems with the nvidea card...but amd is not very comfotable with linux and their driver.
<LokiToki> it tooks me a week to get opencl with ati card running on linux...but i have to say that i have a really uncommon card
<Jybrael> Mmm
<ravon> LokiToki, The nvidia card is up an mining right now. Waiting for the Radeon to arrive. Hopefully I can do them both in the same comp.
<LokiToki> ravon: i hope so. maybe it's easier with your cards. Good luck. :)

<LokiToki> That should work... My fav in sense of avoiduing problems is ubuntu

<Mercosity> No not GPUs yet, but I run a network at home. Servers LTs DT PCs etc and they heat 50% of the house. The temperature her rarely get too hot in summer so a few open windows allows any heat to dissapate. Winter time it's lovely and toasty.

<jamezz> ok i will do this evening finally , i just was thinking I was wasting someones time... i mean ppc64/ppc64el/sparc/mips/alpha all may not be something common to most people but you get 2 people whom use other architectures.. unfortunately boinc itself supports them and have packages/ports/source but projects don't... so i did not know if the wallet ports mattered much , but I still would run my wallet on that machine... so ok..
<Erkan_Yilmaz> thanks for adding the extra effort, jamezz
<jamezz> np
<jamezz> gives me something to do!
<jamezz> i can emulate the above arch via qemu in ppc64 linux
<jamezz> so i can as i assume try the other builds too...
<jamezz> ha
<jamezz> iuno if i wanna go that far
<jamezz> setup 32bit sparc linux on a vm inside mac linux
<jamezz> sounds fun
<jamezz> take me back to my ss20 days with 2 quad core 20mhz cards
