theres a lot of work towards getting efficient proofs implemented, which is the slower part

hoping to have a testnet ready in a few months. We technically are capable of having a testnet right now, but since we don't have the proofs implemented so miners can lie about storing data >.>

To have pubsub return the last published item
<underikar>
That would be awesome

pubsub doesnt do history

Right

newb ssl question: connecting to the ipfs server with “openssl s_client -connect 127.0.0.1:5001” succeeds in handshaking but “openssl s_client -connect 192.168.5.9:5001” gets a connection refused. Obv. 192.168.5.9 is the same machine. What do I read to grok why?

NeoTeo: I don't know why it behaves like this but iirc 192.168.5.9 gets a connection refused because the system acts like the request is coming from a separate device.

Sorry I don't follow; IPFS "daemon"?
<MikeFair>
Powersource, an IPNS CID is defined globally by the public key; same as every CID...
<MikeFair>
It is not 'scoped within' a namespace other than '/ipns/'

MikeFair: no I'm talking about the new update to the ipfs companion. The release announcement mentions scoping MFS but doesn't mention IPNS, which I think is pretty important to scope too
