11:30 <dreamsof2561> Do any of you have write privs to the Wiki, because this really does need to be on there. Samsung TVs, specifically, have this option they call "HDMI UHD Color" which enables 4k60 with chroma 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 subsampling. It's pretty well hidden under a few completely unrelated submenus. The flow on my TV is Settings > General > External Device

11:30 <dreamsof2561> Manager > HDMI UHD Color > Toggles. Once enabled, reboot the rPi and observe the glory of 4k60!

11:33 <dreamsof2561> I'd file this under esoteric behavior. For some reason this is not enabled by default. Devices that don't support chroma subsampling will just ignore the feature flag, so it's not like its gonna hurt older devices.

11:42 <dreamsof2561> If I was troubleshooting my rPi for general misbehaving / restarts / crashes, I'd enable SSH under services and start poking around /var/log/ from my laptop. In most nixes there are several logfiles with different purposes in /var/log. The ones most relevant to you would be messages and syslog.

11:43 <dreamsof2561> The contents of the logfiles are timestamped, so if you could just trigger a crash and note the hours/minutes/seconds, you'll have a decent chance of finding something interesting in the logs. I'm not sure if kody/libreelec uses additional logfiles, but this is my best guess.

If you are gonna SSH into it, you can read the logs with the program `less` by issuing `less /var/log/messages`. Navigating up and down the document quickly can be done with home/end and pgup/pgdn.
