<narmstrong> memeka: thx for the doc link
<narmstrong> memeka: can you try the exact same kernel on the C2 ?
<memeka> narmstrong: I’ll try hope I get the time :D

<brads> memeka: is vendor uboot doing something weird with your display?
<brads> is it detected in the logs?
<memeka> brads: initial kernel from HK also didn’t work with my monitor
<memeka> Latest one works tho
<brads> ok thats great
<memeka> I think they’ve been having issues with monitors too, uboot saves edid in a file on /boot partition
<memeka> So what they did needs to be done in mainline too :)
<brads> ok I see is is a 4k display?
<brads> or just some random issue
<brads> I dont have any 4k display to test but have a heap of old ones
<brads> unless I take it to work
<memeka> brads: no is a boring 1080p
<memeka> Acer ... Acer suxx
<narmstrong> brads: with which brad did you test ? if the fix "fix TMDS clock filtering for DMT monitors" is not present it won't work, even on the C2

<memeka> narmstrong: have you seen the drm debug messages? any idea from there where the issue might be?
<narmstrong> memeka: nop, everything seems normal, it detects the monitor and sets 1080p
<narmstrong> memeka: can you try and force 1024x768 with modetest ?
<memeka> narmstrong: when I will get to the machine, it's night here already.... but it is weird bc I also think everything "seems" normal :(

<khilman> xdarklight: FYI: I just noticed that odroid-c1 started failing in linux-next, but I haven't dug into why yet: https://kernelci.org/boot/id/5c9c8b7d59b51467e2fe6017/
<xdarklight> khilman: interesting, there's no clear indication why it hangs. I've seen something similar with mainline and sent a patch for that: https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/10867531/

<khilman> ok, I'll try that
<khilman> xdarklight: yeah, that's it. thx.
<xdarklight> great to hear, thanks for checking :)

<repk> I don't know if someone could be interested, but I have reversed enough of gxl's bl31 firmware to be able to modify @antonioND's arm-trusted-firmware port at the point of booting linux works. Still need cleaning though, https://github.com/repk/arm-trusted-firmware/tree/gxl.
