i guess you guys are not really keen on debugging the prop. libEGL-libs.. any (interpretation-)hint where/what to look at would be appreciated: trying to get Kodi running on an Allwinner H3 based board. It works "well" (as in: doesn't crash, but obviously slooow) without HW-GL(ES) support.However when using the propretary mali libEGL-libs it crashes:

to use IIO channels in one driver, either you hardcode it in the driver via an iio_map
<qschulz>
(like it is done for usb, ac and battery power supply drivers for AXP209 for example)
<qschulz>
or you use the DT
<qschulz>
for the aforementioned drivers, it makes sense to hardocde it since they are always fed by the same channels
<qschulz>
by the same driver/component
<qschulz>
but what about external components wired on some of the PMICs outputs?
<qschulz>
like GPIOs
<wens>
qschulz: ADC is an input, it's usage is to acquire data
junnie has quit [Ping timeout: 268 seconds]
<qschulz>
what about using the thermal sensor embedded in the PMIC in the thermal subsystem
<wens>
using the adc in another subsystem is a software construct
<wens>
it does not belong in the device tree, which describes hardware
<mripard>
wens: yet, using devfreq or hwmon based devices will be in the DT
hardfalcon has quit [Ping timeout: 268 seconds]
<mripard>
so yeah, sure, we could have a discussion that it shouldn't be there
<mripard>
but it doesn't change the DT bindings :)
<wens>
ok. I suppose the devfreq opp and thermal stuff is a property of the hardware

Hello again. Another question: I try to run r6p2's version mali driver on a custom board with 4.1's kernel version. There is a drm-driver which is not supporting atomic mode setting. When I try to run a graphic-test binary I get nothing but fps counter. After I stop test, image appear on display after a few second. Could it be that my problem caused by non implemented atomic mode settings?
<mripard>
HepoH: the DRM driver was merged in 4.7
<mripard>
and supported atomic all along
