<jcloud>
could someone explain what >>= does?
<jcloud>
it’s impossible to google and I can’t seem to find it in the language spec
taion809 has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<jcloud>
oh, ok, forgot about stackoverflow search.
<smondet>
>>= usually depends on the context, if you're using Lwt, it is Lwt.bind
<smondet>
if you're using Async, it should be something like Async.Deferred.bind
<smondet>
if the library you're using is "sane" the operator should be called "bind"
manudd has quit [Quit: manudd]
<jcloud>
thanks smondet. I agree bind would be a more sane name. It’s only one character longer...

oca.ml is free on freenom if anyone is interested
<flux>
freenom is some alternative root server?
<reynir>
uh, I dont think so
<reynir>
»In April 2013 the Agence des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication (AGETIC) announced that it would give away .ml domains for free.« http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.ml
<reynir>
freenom does .tk as well

however it is a really bad idea
<gasche>
23:53 < sheijk_> i need a 32-bit version of ocaml on a 64-bit system. it's easy enought to build from source but i'd like to have it managed by opam

whitequark: why would it be a bad idea? packager often complain that warn-error is hardcoded in build-systems; so if it is an envirnoment variable, you can set it while developping and not "polute" your build script
