Any cyrillic-writing racketeers around?

<selimcan>
In #lang scribble, when I have titles in Cyrillic, `raco pkg install' or `raco setup -p foo' commands generate html files of the form ________.html
<selimcan>
That is, each Cyrillic letter gets replaced with a _ in the resulting file name.
<selimcan>
Nvm, adding a [#:tag "somelatinchars"] to title solved the issue

I'm looking at implementing a smooth scrolling canvas. by smooth scrolling I mean like how firefox for instance does it
<lavaflow>
I'm not quite sure if this is possible with racket/gui though
<lavaflow>
on-char get's key events for wheel-up and wheel-down, but these seem too coarse. if I simply scroll my canvas by adding or subtracting some integer value from the scroll position each time I get one of those events, the result is either the scrolling is too slow, or too choppy

<lavaflow>
Is anybody generally familiar with gui stuff aware if the interface firefox is using is totally different from getting discrete wheel-up and wheel-down events?
<lavaflow>
do other applications generally get some sort of more precise velocity vector?
<lavaflow>
or maybe I should be interpolating between these wheel events to get a smooth action? maybe that's how other applications do it?
<lavaflow>
hmm, I'm guessing I need to interpolate out my own values from each discrete scroll event. that makes more sense when I consider a traditional wheel'd mouse instead of a trackpad. each click of the mouse wheel is of course discrete, but firefox still smooths it.
<lavaflow>
maybe each scroll down event adds downward velocity, which then decays over the next second or so. subsequent scroll events within that same second add onto that constantly decaying velocity.... there must be some standard formula for this

<lavaflow>
I was totally overthinking it. merely keeping track of the time between two scrolling events and then adjusting the amount actually scrolled accordingly does the trick. very simple.
<lavaflow>
getting the right settings for the thresholds and scaling seems a bit tricky though. hmm.
