Hi all. I am new in this channel and also new to sandstorm. Just found out about it when I was looking for an open source Trello alternative.
<raceman>
When I go to https://sandstorm.io/community and click IRC chat it isn't working. I am not new to IRC and Freenode, so I was able to join another way. When I enter username and click start it is loading a couple of seconds and then went back to the same screen without any error
<abliss1>
hi & welcome! thanks for the report
<abliss1>
I think the web IRC gateway stopped working about a month ago, and nobody's had time to figure out why (or removet the link) just yet :(
<raceman>
A question I have is about a text on the homepage "Sandstorm is an open source project built by a community of volunteers with the goal of making it really easy to run open source web applications -- either on your own private server, or on our community-run servers.". What does "on our community-run servers" mean? I can't find anything about it
<raceman>
when clicking 'get sandstorm' or 'community' links
<raceman>
abliss1 You're welcome. Now I am using https://webchat.freenode.net/ which work well. Maybe change the link to that one? Seems to be the same software.
<kentonv>
raceman, the mention of "community-run servers" is obsolete. We used to run a shared hosting service that you could subscribe to, but it shut down recently.
<kentonv>
I guess we need to go through the web site and remove all these mentions of it
<raceman>
kentonv okay thank you. Is it hard to make a community server, or is it a lack of (donation) support?

Sorry I missed some messages. Thanks for offering your server. I already saw the demo, it looks great
<raceman>
I was misunderstanding the community server anyway. Currently using https://miraheze.org/ for free Mediawiki hosting for open source minded related projects. I thought that the community server for Wekan was something similar.
