<andlabs> oh btw
<andlabs> if you're going to ISA and MCA
<andlabs> steal this idea =P
<Foone> now do you want to tweet that picture of the disk or should I?
<cr1901_modern> You do it.
<cr1901_modern> https://twitter.com/uncletifa/status/1333212904162807808 Of course it's emulated already.
<cr1901_modern> It's... on brand b/c the soundtrack is FM synth galore. And it's incredibly cheesy to match.

<cr1901_modern> ejs__: https://twitter.com/TubeTimeUS/status/1333231389865517057 Is it more densely packed or something. FEELS like a number of the TTL glue chips are missing
<cr1901_modern> Also, where can I get like 100 spools of that wire?
<cr1901_modern> Don't think it's wire-wrap wire... that doesn't strip as neatly IME

<ejs__> yeah it feels more like teflon or something
<cr1901_modern> 64kB of RAM on the prototype... when the original had 16kB of RAM, hmmm...
<cr1901_modern> (to be clear, the floppy boot address was at 0x7f00 something IIRC. So the BIOS couldn't even boot a floppy on those boards unless the addr space mirrored. Not that DOS would be happy w/ 16kB anyway)

<Foone> heh. remember we were talking about chemicals the other day? I'm watching a let'splay of Prey and it turns out there's an email in the game where they talk about having to unload Chlorine Trifluoride fuel.
<Foone> that's the fun one that'll ignite if it comes into contact with sand, water, or asbestos.
* cr1901_modern starts a viral thread about Chlorine Trifluoride... wow, this blew up!
<Foone> hah
<cr1901_modern> Thank you, I'll be here all night... let's look for more horrific safety diamonds :D!
<andlabs> is aucfree.com genuinely down or is it region locked
<Foone> 403 for me
<Foone> in the US
<cr1901_modern> 403 for me
<cr1901_modern> what is the site normally?
<andlabs> allegedly an auction sit
<andlabs> e
<andlabs> related: I love it when someone has an item that doesn't sell and they don't relist it
<sorear> AUC free? (goes to look up genetic code)
<andlabs> ?
<andlabs> also that *deliberately mispronounced* genu-whyne adlib is going to end in 2 hours and it's at $202
<andlabs> 2 and a half hours
<cr1901_modern> Foone: Are you gonna upload that POV286 goodness?
<Foone> if I can find it, yes
