what the actual fuck this internal drive is also not taking power
<andlabs>
is my molex to mini molex connector bad?
<andlabs>
also I had to force a hole in one of the pins on this cable; weird
<Nerionaya>
andlabs what do you mean by a hole on the pins
<andlabs>
one of the pins on the CPU side had no hole
<andlabs>
I already started puncturing it
<andlabs>
if that means I'm not supposed to and that this is NOT a standard IBM drive then IDK
<andlabs>
yes this one came with its own cable too
<andlabs>
it's got the twist though
<andlabs>
I need to make that glasgow cable...
<andlabs>
or buy one, if they are available anywhere
<whitequark>
i mean... it's like 5 minutes of work
<whitequark>
if not less
<whitequark>

<andlabs>

<cr1901_modern>
This is where I would post a link but my browser just crashed (huh)
<cr1901_modern>
andlabs: I can confirm hooking up wires like the above to a floppy disk cable like the above works fine. Just make sure you don't skimp on the gnd conns
