<NarrowMind>
I have upgraded to 9.0 but Im having some trouble with the remote. It looks like Kodi isnt opening the device. I can do 'ir-keytable -t' and see the key codes happen when I hit the buttons.
<NarrowMind>
The wiki points out there are several steps but how the It looks like no one is holdig the /dev/input/event3
<NarrowMind>
anyone see this ? btw the 'ir-keytable -a' requires a config file, the wiki needs an update
<mack->
NarrowMind: I havne't upgraded yet, so I can't really help you, but want to make sure you have LIRC disabled in Kodi.
<mack->
also it is hard to decipher what you mean by " there are several steps but how the It looks like no one is holdig the /dev/input/event3"
<NarrowMind>
mack-: where do I verify lirc is disabled ?
<mack->
wiki says LibreELEC Settings. I don't have it in front of me to check
<mack->
services tab
<mack->
might have disappeared in LE 9, lol
<mack->
yep, says it's not available in Settings in LE9 in that same wiki page
<mack->
if /storage/.config/lircd.conf exists, it will try to load
<mack->
you could do something like `ps aux | grep lircd` to see what's running
<mack->
also in that wiki article, it specifically says to check it's not running and how to do so in LE9 >.<
<mack->
perhaps you should read it again more carefully
<NarrowMind>
no I have read it. the process isnt running
<NarrowMind>
I am sure it isnt running. I just wanted to see if there was some ui where I might have options to that I missed
<mack->
did you have a custom remote setup for LE 8?
<NarrowMind>
I can see eventlircd is started, it does seem to have /dev/input/event3 open. the busybox lsof is lacking
<NarrowMind>
no
<mack->
what sort of remote is it?
<mack->
and what does ir-keytable output?
<mack->
I don't think the eventlird is actually lircd. That might be how they're doing the interface to lirc
<NarrowMind>
just a standard medica center remote
<NarrowMind>
it seems eventlircd does some remapping
<NarrowMind>
as needed
<NarrowMind>
it is a zotac remote, came with the machine
<mack->
ir-keytable finds the remote and has enabled protocols?
<NarrowMind>
these are the key codes I'm getting my remote .. a quick hack and got up/down/left/right working
<NarrowMind>
I dont understand that thread. Im getting the same scan codes with a normal MCE remote not a harmony logitech. I am using the same reciever and same system as the original poster
<NarrowMind>
Suggesting it is the receiver that is casing the odd scan codes

Ok guys, here's a little excercise... I've got a box running LE 9.0.0 and a bunch of mp3 files on it. How do I check a bitrate of those files?
<KOPRajs>
Preferably with a batch in the command line, but any way how to check it even one file at a time (even when playing) is welcome.
elektrinis has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds]
<KOPRajs>
I can't seem to find any way how to check it as there is no "file" in LE and the music info screen used to be showed in Confluence when pressing "O" seems to be gone in Estuary.
<Ommand>
what do you mean when you say "no file"
<KOPRajs>
I mean unix command "file".
<GNU\colossus>
mount the remote directory using sshfs, and use ffmpeg (or anything else that's capable) on the host to retrieve the information
<KOPRajs>
Yeah, I could probably use ffprobe or file on an external system, but is there no way how to get mp3 bitrate on LE?
<KOPRajs>
There's info about currently playing video (e.g. resolution, decoder used, deinterlacing etc.) but I can't get any info about audio.
<chewitt>
mediainfo exists in one of the tools addons
<KOPRajs>
Great! Thx chewitt that will do.
<KOPRajs>
Now I see there is even a FFmpeg tools addon.
<chewitt>
multimedia-tools to be precise
<KOPRajs>
Got it, thx.
