<mack-> jokke: from comments in the youtube linked in the Pi4 blog post: "Default is up-to 4K30 but with the right line in config.txt it will do 4K60. If you have "adjust refresh" enabled and the whitelist contains 4K and 1080p modes the GUI will switch from 1080p to 4K for 4K playback. As with most ARM devices (Amlogic, Rockchip etc.) the GUI is a bit more responsive at 1080p and most TV's do a great job of upscaling to 4K."
<mack-> so, config config.txt :)
<mack-> tommy``: probably just old/poor CEC support on your hardware -- TV or anything else in the HDMI chain.
<mack-> or misconfigured settings on TV

<tommy``> mack- i never had this issue before, dunno why it's started... i also formatted the SD and fresh install... now everytime i play a video i have this annoying 5 sec black screen then hdmi CEC on top right than video plays..
<mack-> try changing HDMI port and/or HDMI cable. If it's worked before, and you reinstalled software, then that only leaves hardware fault.
<tommy``> i changed hdmi tv port yes, the only thing it's changing cable, but i think is very very strange
<tommy``> i tested now the kodi's version inside the android box and i don't have the issue
<mack-> I suppose if this is a raspberry pi or other arm device, it's possible a failing power supply might be struggling to get the signal started. But I don't think that's very likely.
<tommy``> it's something related to the latest version of libreelec
<mack-> you didn't say that you updated versions when it broke :P You said "Dunno why it's started."
<tommy``> ah ok
<mack-> it's possible the cec configuration changed something your TV doesn't like. The first google results from searching "cectx aocec: aml_cec_probe(): can't find hdmirx" give some tips on what to look for in configuration
<tommy``> yes this was ink
<tommy``> link
<tommy``> i aslo tried coreelec too latest version and i have same problem

<jokke> mack-: i got it to work in the end. Was indeed a matter of setting HDMI to "Advanced mode" or whatever on the tv.
<jokke> i can btw reproducably crash libreelec / kodi by scrolling through my library too fast :D
<jokke> i wonder why..
<jokke> but i'm not judging. it's alpha still, after all.

<vpeter> How to use valgrind with kodi?
<zhasha> $ valgrind kodi
<zhasha> (you're going to have to be more specific)
<vpeter> I'm trying to find a place where kodi eats memory (and killed with oom).

<SirScott> does anyone have experience with the odroid-n2? I have a c2 and the only complaint I have is that the menus are sluggish. Thinking that the N2 might fix that?

<mack-> The only choice for Odroid N2 right now is unstable software. Last I read a month ago, they were hoping for something stable for LibreElec 10
