Do any of you know if this issue with 1080i playback stuttering on Pi2 was ever resolved? I see lots of people reporting the problem as far back as 8.95 beta. Changing from OMX to MMAL helps a bit. Changing deinterlace mode is a good workaround, but having to change that for every TV channel and recording -- Yowzer. https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/17697-problems-running-kodi-leia-on-raspberry-pi-2-le-9-0-2/?postID=121619

Held off upgrading to LE 9 until now. I sort of assumed it had been fixed by now.. until I visited the forum again yesterday.

Time to revert to LE 8, or just repurpose the Pi2?

would <ppffmpegdeinterlacing> in advancedsettings.xml work for me? I'm not sure what valid values are for that key.
<oblikoamorale>
that looks like ffmpeg filter name; however looking at kodi sources i'm not sure it's being used at all

I was wondering that, myself, after reading others trying to use the key.

Milhouse> Yeah dumb question I know, what I really meant was how was the alpha release of libreelec with support for the pi 4 stability/feature wise?
