<zhasha>
Do you mean i686 or did you actually mean x32 and, if so, why?
<ukleinek>
no, not x32, i686 is more like it
<ukleinek>
hmm, it seems I'm one of 0.003% of the users ...

Would your hardware even be capable of running it? I was running on an amd64 Atom N330 with nVIDIA ION until recently and it was just barely chugging along
<ukleinek>
I don't know
<zhasha>
it was quite painful. Kodi isn't exactly light weight
<EuroTrash>
It mostly comes down to the graphics card
<EuroTrash>
But if your machine has any sort of hardware accel, I guess it's easier to just install 6.x
<jokke>
anyone here running libreelec on a rpi4 and experiencing random crashes just from browsing through the library?
<chewitt>
ukleinek: around 95% of the current build system supports 32-bit fine (as RPi0/1/2/3 are 32-bit and we run 32-bit userspace on all the ARM images)
<chewitt>
so mostly it's about reverting the 32-bit drop
<chewitt>
and then figuring out the few things that don't build
<chewitt>
*but* as EuroTrash says, performance is dictated by the GPU and these days most devices that have 32-bit hardware will be a bit sucky
<chewitt>
jokke: yes, but only on pre-release dev images browsing 4k media with a forced 1GB configuration and before the memory allocations were changed
<chewitt>
and not so random ..
<ukleinek>
chewitt: it's a pentium M @1.5 GHz and I think the resolution is 1024x768.
<ukleinek>
with intel graphics obviously

i've got mixed media but just scrolling through the list of movies for example can freeze it completely
<jokke>
it then becomes completely unresponsive (also not reachable from ssh)
<zzlatev>
ukleinek: how to get to this "Main Menu"
<EuroTrash>
zzlatev: hm normally if you do nothing, it should boot into that menu

hi all, Looking at the RPi 4, there's no hardware MPEG2 decode but the notes in the 9.2A1 release post say it performs similar to a 3B - is this comparison valid for MPEG2 with Hardware decoding on a 3 vs software on a 4 or is it only valid for software-to-software comparison?
<zzlatev>
EuroTrash: but what should I do? I don't know.
<ukleinek>
zzlatev: describe in more detail what happens when you boot from the usb stick
<zzlatev>
I boot from usb stick and the only options I have are RUN and LIVE.
