i'm performing a git bisect in order to find a problem. current build is failing because of running out of space. i checked and the git directory is up to 34 GB. I've done make clean before each new build. what else can I do to reduce size?

you can remove the ccache
<lrusak>
but the will likely slow down subsequent builds

I got the last one built with some fs cleanup. make clean then took it down by 14G. maybe fine with the rest of the builds
<Nematocyst>
when i installed this SSD, i decided to leave 100G unpartitioned for experimentation with other distros... hasn't happened. i should just partition it and move /home there

one of the drivers, RTL8812AU at a specific patchlevel wasn't found. is there any way to proceed with the build? I'm not sure if the device I'm testing even uses that hardware
<Nematocyst>
i passed it using a different patchlevel that had already been d/l. updated package.mk to reflect the other one and provided the right sha256. gez. what a pain

<shibboleth>
i've noticed a significant interlacing effect on both sd and hd sources on LE10 (rpi4, new hwaccel)
<shibboleth>
also, independence.day.resurgence.2016.720p.bluray.x264-geckos is, for some reason, unplayable. anyne have this or the 1080 version and care to test?
<lrusak>
There is no deinterlacing support :)
<shibboleth>
yeah, the mentioned hd sources are dvb, most likely 1080i
<shibboleth>
no interlacing on the 720 channels, these are likely 720p
<shibboleth>
is this being worked on, or is it one of those "close your eyes and think of scotland"-things
<shibboleth>
?
<shibboleth>
also also, i'd really appreciate it if anyone could test their copy of id.resurgence. i don't know how to debug this and would like to rule out bitrot
<shibboleth>
crc32 matches srrdb, so i really don't think it is, but...
<shibboleth>
that being said, the new hwaccel seems quite superior in terms of smooth playback on progressive sources
<lrusak>
Deinterlacing? It’s being thought about but no one is actively working on it (for the RPi at least)
<lrusak>
Can you see if the file in question will play if you disable drm prime hw decoding?
<shibboleth>
it doesn't
<shibboleth>
and it looks like i'm able to make a remote rpi2 play it, i noticed once buying an rpi4 at home on 9.2.6
