<jcowan> I also looked a little bit into the old blog and the "forgotten ~U". Scheme's format is based on combinators rather than a stringly DSL, and it supports both 2^10 and 10^3 prefix scaling.

<jcowan> Bug me or #scheme if you are readimng the code and find anything obscure.
