silviof: FYI, yes, you can; in fact that should be indicated on the shop page
<silviof>
Kero: thx is it sufficient to write only a message to the order of the phone?
<Kero>
that part I do not know. I think someone in this channel can & will answer that, but it may be a while with ccc and all

<DocScrutinizer51>
basically yes
<DocScrutinizer51>
we'll see how we do final order
<DocScrutinizer51>
probably we'll offer final order in shop to all who did down payment, and you will be able to rethink your order there
<silviof>
okay good.
<silviof>
fine for me.
<silviof>
:-)
<silviof>
Another question: a co-worker from me is thinking about to buy a n900. What is the time plan for arrival of hardware?
<silviof>
s/n900/neo900/ :-)
jonsger has joined #neo900
<DocScrutinizer51>
planned arrival first quarter of next year
<DocScrutinizer51>
so during next nonth is last chance to preorder complete devices
<DocScrutinizer51>
after that, only NeoN bare boards will available for preorder, I guess
<DocScrutinizer51>
for some time

<DocScrutinizer51>
planned arrival first quarter of next year
<DocScrutinizer51>
sorry, very poor connection
<DocScrutinizer51>
let's try again
<DocScrutinizer51>
planned arrival first quarter of next year
<bencoh>
actually we had that part
<DocScrutinizer51>
we hope for a proto_v3 around new year, and afew weeks later we hope to start production
<DocScrutinizer51>
of course not only depending on us not introducing oopsies we need to fix but also customers being swift with their orders and payments
<DocScrutinizer51>
and then the sourcing side wich I planned to secure since february already, but our donors still have a dropout rate of 50% who didn't answer since we opened webshop
<DocScrutinizer51>
the talks are great :) Antiatom, dos1 wpwrak, sidekick DocScrutinizer51 And Special Appearance Harald Welte as "the man with the towel" ;D

<bencoh>
the towel thing sounds like too much info :>
<Wizzup>
DocScrutinizer51: did camp help with sales?
<DocScrutinizer51>
nah, he just crossed between speaker and camera twice. with a towel on his shoulder, heading to showers
<DocScrutinizer51>
dunno yet. But I'm quite sure it did/will do
<Wizzup>
cool :)
<Wizzup>
I'm slowly considering preordering another one...
<DocScrutinizer51>
even completely non-techgeek people watched the talks and understood why we need an alternative to Android and iOS
<DocScrutinizer51>
mainly thanks to Nico who did an AWESOME job

<sunweaver>
Hi!
<sunweaver>
I am a Debian developer and I would like to help out with packaging for Neo900/N900. Where is the right place to get in tocuh???
<bencoh>
hello ... most likely here and #maemo :)
<ZetaR>
sunweaver: Hi and welcome. The Neo900 project is primarily concerned with hardware. The software devs are mainly associated with Maemo. There is #maemo like bencoh said, and maemo-ssu and talk.maemo.org or http://talk.maemo.org/forumdisplay.php?f=58 for Maemo on the Neo900 specifically.
<sunweaver>
Where do devs coordinate?
<sunweaver>
#maemo?
paulk-cccamp has quit [Quit: Quitte]
<ZetaR>
I think the Maemo devs coordinate mainly through #maemo-ssu and talk.maemo.org, but I am not certain.
<ZetaR>
The Neo900 dev's position, AFAICT, is that their job is to provide open hardware, and it would work with a variety of OSes, but there is an emphasis on compatibility with Maemo 5/Fremantle.
<ZetaR>
There is a mailing list too, as I recall.
* dos1
is back home
<ZetaR>
dos1: How was the trip? DocScrutinizer05 said something about it being evacuated.
<dos1>
ZetaR: evacuation was yesterday and only shortly, for a duration of thunderstorm :)
<ZetaR>
Ah, okay.
<dos1>
the weather surprised us during our self organized talks - people will surely remember paulk's Replicant talk as a great attraction :D
<dos1>
(we basically swtiched between giving the talks to full escape towards buildings in a few moments)
<ZetaR>
Hopefully it wasn't divine retribution. :P
<bencoh>
:))
<dos1>
we hoped to have the effect of "Thank you, any questions? [ZZZAAAPPPP]" :D
<dos1>
anyway, audience for the talk was ~50 people, and a lot more went through our village
<dos1>
including quite a lot of N900 owners, both current and past
<dos1>
btw. I guess Replicant and Anelok lightning talks should be already online
<bencoh>
I guess it still has some kind of aura among hackers/floss-enthusiasts :-)
<dos1>
and soon we should get photos and recordings made by antiatom
<DocScrutinizer51>
hi dos1! nice you came home just fine
<dos1>
hello! yup, aside of small train delay all went smooth :)
