beneroth, yes, there are many ways for these pathes
<Regenaxer>
In PilBox apps which share a lot of files with the corresponding web app but which both run in different environments, I use systems of symbolic links

<Regenaxer>
So when zipping the PilBox app, 'zip' redirects the links so that the files appear in the right places in PilBox

Regenaxer, aye, this is a similar use case, solvable with symbolic links but I think they would be the wrong way in this specific case I have here.

I always work with relative pathes, except for "@lib..." stuff
<Regenaxer>
So I never had this issue of modifying path names
<Regenaxer>
for loading sources I mean
<Regenaxer>
For other things, eg 'tar'ing dynamically built directories, I use 'chdir'
<Regenaxer>
If all is relative, the big advantage is that you can run several installations on the same machine

I also work with relative paths everywhere
<beneroth>
the issue here was, that in some environment the referenced files are directly in the running dir, and in some environments the files are in an additional subdir, and both situations make kinda sense in the respective cases.
<Regenaxer>
ok

Good morning!

Hi mtsd!
<mtsd>
Hello Regenaxer, everything alright today?
<Regenaxer>
Yeah, thanks!
<mtsd>
Great :)
<beneroth>
Good morning mtsd !
<beneroth>
How are you doing?
<mtsd>
Morning beneroth!
<mtsd>
Fine here, thanks. And you?
<beneroth>
fine too. Just made a client happy on a conference call, and now I will try to get forward with some tricky programming issues (well not so much coding, but how to organise things in a maintainable way)
<mtsd>
Sounds good! I am preparing some Pil presentations, first one is in a week
<beneroth>
wow great!
<beneroth>
OT: Terry Davis of TempleOS has apparently passed away
<mtsd>
First one here in Stockholm, then one in London a week later. Working on spreading the word ;)
