<freemint>
good morning
<Regenaxer>
Hi freemint
<freemint>
my disassembler is at good level of abstraction. I even added stuff so might turn it into an emulator. Now the only remaining stuff is data entry - sigh
<freemint>
also the kernel i want to port is in better shape than i expected, nice and modular. sadly the reference docs did not include an implementation under the SH (from which J-Core is derived)
<freemint>
Regenaxer are you more back in schedule then you were a few weeks ago?
<freemint>
(you told me you were way behind)
<Regenaxer>
even more behind
<Regenaxer>
Probably a whole year
<freemint>
oww so me bugging you less did not help?
<Regenaxer>
No, helped a lot! ;)

I came across some paper which puts some dampers on Hutters claims. The main result is that predictors and compressors as long as they remain computable can not become "universally good" and that there isn't any definition of universal prediction that work s. That simplicity and compressability can not be assumed to be linked in a usefull way. philsci-archive.pitt.edu/14486/7/proeffin.pdf
<razzy>
how hardcore are those "dampers"?
<razzy>
thx, anyway :)

quote from the article: Hayabusa-2 is one of the many JAXA missions to use the MIPS64-based HR5000 processor. A good motivation for us to use the chip is the T-Kernel, an open source real-time operating system based on the latest release of TRON.
<rob_w>
sounds awesome
<razzy>
tron rules
<razzy>
i have idea for lisp realtime scheduler. which ,might be very close to TRON system :]
<rob_w>
well i would i already love is its name .. i love that movie for so long now .. bring it on
<freemint>
razzy i doubt that but I if you tell me i can compare it with the specs
<freemint>
rob_w yes the name is cool and the initiator claims to have come up with the name himself. Both appeared roughly
<razzy>
freemint: did you bought that?
<razzy>
i mean, documentation
<freemint>
the spec is free, the reference implementation too. you just got to agree to a freeish license
