<thardin> hrm is the UP5K not available with more than 48 pins (40 GPIO)?
<thardin> 39 is CDONE is left alone
<thardin> ooh hadn't noticed the ECP5 support before

<thardin> compiling nextpnr-ecp5
vidbina has joined #yosys
<thardin> does nextpnr's gui run kinda slow for anyone else? not sure if it uses hardware acceleration or not. this is on an i5 @ 1.7 GHz
<mwk> it does use opengl and hw acceleration if available

<thardin> maybe it's a driver issue then. or this lappy doesn't have much of a graphics card :)
Asu has joined #yosys
<tnt> thardin: Here when I have the GUI open the fan ramps up and it slows downs all the other apps ... not sure why because top doesn't report much CPU usage ... and sure this is built-in intel graphics but it's not like it's drawing a super complex 3d scene ...
<thardin> it is drawing a hell of a lot of 2D tho, and that tends to be slow in opengl
<thardin> does it uses VBOs?
<tnt> It uses QOpenGLVertexArrayObject apparently
<tnt> huh, it's drawing GL_TRIANGLES ?!?
<thardin> oh boy

<thardin> trying to find out the exact pinouts on the ecp5 chips. especially how cross-compatible the caBGA-381 variants are
<daveshah> iirc, the cabga381 is mostly compatible but gains a few extra IO in the 45F and up
<daveshah> so those pins would be NC for the 25F variant
<thardin> yeah that's how I interpret the family data sheet
<thardin> still, no exact pinout to be had. or maybe I suck at reading the data sheet and lattice's site
<tnt> thardin: you need to download the XLS files.
<tnt> or CSV
<tpb> Title: ECP5 / ECP5-5G - Lattice Semiconductor (at www.latticesemi.com)
<thardin> the LFE5UM5G-85F-EVN board is only $99? that's almost suspiciously cheap
