ej5, btw I rejuved my nec multisync this week and it's much improved. worth considering if yours has a lot of hours on it
<ej5>
yeah mine is...a bit long in the tooth.
<ej5>
1401 or 1402?
<TD-Linux>
1401
<TD-Linux>
standard neck connector, pins are in a bit different order than usual
<ej5>
you have the whole monitor or just the tube?
<TD-Linux>
whole monitor
<TD-Linux>
1401p3a in particular
<TD-Linux>
I have also added the G1 circuit into mine that was omitted at the factory, however compared to the juve, it provides only marginal improvements
<ej5>
G1 circuit?
<TD-Linux>
puts a negative bias on G1
<ej5>
hmm interesting
<TD-Linux>
this is something I'm slowly figuring out but a lot of monitors seem to ground G1, but a few put a negative bias (around -20 to -70 V) on it
<TD-Linux>
it basically trades brightness for sharpness
