well I was sleeping in my chair for much of today so now it's finally time to test that board

it boots consistentl8y now but I think I corrupted the CF card 😐

and reformatting didn't work; same error as before (gzip file faile dto decompress or something), and then it stopped recognizing the CF card entirely

sigh; fine I'll find an SD to IDE adapter I guess

I had a feeling even a good CF band like transmeta was going to cause problems :| unless reformatting in Linux somehow made it lose its ability to act like an IDE device — which again, is CF causing problems, because that shouldn't be possible

didn't there used to be SD to IDE adapters that had female connectors? I can't find them anymore
