If I decide to have a blog on IPFS, I cannot have nothing "dynamic" (no comments, no users, no database)... so, I search about and it seems there is no solution (yet?). It's early days friend. Still under development. As you say there are not a lot of full apps ready to use.

It's more like the preinterenet research days of ARPAnet right now. The protocol details are being worked out. Interested people and groups are testing different things and discussing what works and what doesn't. These things need to be gotten right to end up with reliable system.

For me, as a new user, seems that the entire login has to be re-invented. No more PHP, no mode MySQL, thrashing all the applications written on these languages...

I have a couple of nextcloud instances in HA, and I know how is difficult to have a mysql setup redundant. Many problems still not entirely solved, as the writes must be done on one node only, the others are read-only nodes. I'm talking about a small nextcloud deployment. It's scaring for me to just think to the inconsistencies on a large database as IPFS could be (one day)

It's a bit of a different domain. IPFS is a file storage system. So, it won't ever be running a database or code eg a web server. Purely storing and delivering files.

There is a project called zeronet (zeronet.io). Zeronet already allows to create blogs. Maybe that is what you are looking for

IPFS data is content addressed. Every piece of data has a globally unique identifer. So inconsistency won't be problem. Data can't change so there's nothing that can be inconsistent. Integrity of the data is guaranteed cryptographically. If you have the address of a file, you'll always get the same data.

^ You might be interested in zeronet. They have a functional decentralized web, similar concept. They have a way of handling user generated data eg blog comments - the user publishes and it propagates from their system through the network.

Zeronet has an interesting SQL server system too. The database data is distributed the same way as other files. And accessed purely client side through JS. It's a temporary crutch really. But clever.

There are decentralized compute systems showing up. Golem, SONM, iExec. These systems run code. They could very well develop into something that can run a web app with high availability. Don't think they're targeting that currently. Future possibility.

There are decentralized DB systems around too. Bottom line, IPFS is one piece of a fully decentralized web. Other systems will handle those other functions you're thinking of.

imo its better to think of IPFS as a transport layer, it doesnt really store files as you still need real disks and real filesystems underneath
