i seem to have lost cpufreq on my orange pi plus2 when i upgraded to kernel 4.12 (using megous' kernel source) it worked with 4.10 but i cannot figure out what changed, i'm still using the same kernel config and dts. anyone an idea what i might be missing?

scelestic: check that its even offered in that kernel to be sure, just because it is in your .config doesn't per se mean that the kernel had it in its source -- I forget what exact heading its under but if you look around you should be able to figure out cause there should also be the other options to choose if it isn't available.

on 4.10 cpufreq-info seems to be using CONFIG_CPUFREQ_DT and that is enabled in 4.12 as well

I'm looking at new H3 ethernet code: http://marc.info/?l=devicetree&m=148724976510466&w=2 – what does 0x104 represent in "reg = <0x01c30000 0x104>;". I concluded that 0x01c30000 is for the emac base address but the other value is a mystery for me.
