<mumptai>
is there someone (ab)using milkymist soc for an robotics application?
<wpwrak>
the buttons are finicky. yesterday, i made one from wood. nominal dimensions all are perfect. but the pusher plate is still a little too thick. grmbl. seems that it's getting time for me to enter the wonderful world of acrylic ...
<roh>
wpwrak: hey.. buttons for which device? the labtool?
<wpwrak>
for M1 :) i find the idea of gluing together those stacks of discs mildly offensive ;-)
<roh>
heh.. you could also use a lathe, and the polish the pieces...

<wpwrak>
(the lab switch uses panel-mounted buttons. perhaps not ideal, but it works :)
<wpwrak>
hmm, step 1: buy lathe ? :)
<wpwrak>
naw, what i need to do is get me some acrylic. i think i have enough control to get the shape and size i need, but wood isn't great for thicknesses around 1 mm or less
<wpwrak>
at least not the wood i'm using
<wpwrak>
(my wood: just cheap pine from the next "baumarkt")
<kristianpaul>
i printed my M1 buttons, i cant complain to date
<wpwrak>
you lucky owner of a 3D printer :)
<wpwrak>
phew. finally. with the pusher plate ground down to 0.8 mm, it works.
<kristianpaul>
a picture could help us to clarify your emotions :)
<kristianpaul>
sb0: how went arduino workshop?
<kristianpaul>

<kristianpaul>
