<ill_logic> Do we still do office hours these days?
<abliss> good Q! they've been really sparse lately, and it sounds like there was discussion about moving it to irc / mailing list.
<ill_logic> Did the schedule change? My calendar is having me on it now.
<ill_logic> And it's just me so I'm gonna leave.
<abliss> if it changed I didn't hear about it. i was hoping to dial in tonight but something's come up.
<ill_logic> okay cool no worries.
<isd> No, it didnt change. I spaced.
<isd> I think (1) if this is going to keep making sense, we need to reach out to folks who aren't on IRC; for a while the calls have basically been status meetings where people tell eachother stuff that's already been talked about on IRC.
<isd> ocdtrekkie suggested reaching out the mailing list to remind people that these are a thing. It would be nice to occasionally get some more people talking about stuff, rather than the same old faces and nobody new...
<abliss> and maybe make it biweekly, to build up a meatier agenda
<isd> But (2) I kinda feel like I've been the only one really making sure the meetings happen -- making sure the wiki is up to date, sending reminders and such... not stuff that is the most exciting to me personally and watching participation dwindle makes it hard to keep the motivation up on that. When Lyre was around we had two of us balancing that load, and I think he was more enthusastic about it. I guess I'd like to see some
<isd> other folks step up and do some of the organizing work if we're going to keep this up.
<isd> Doing them less frequently seems reasonable.
<isd> Do we still want to plan on one this coming Sunday? If so, does someone want to volunteer to send a thing to the mailing list?
<isd> Alternatively: do people actually find these useful? Like, I guess we don't have to do them if they're not actually accomplishing anything.

<JacobWeisz[m]> Yeah, I think if it's just us regulars there's not a whole lot of point. Maybe making it biweekly or monthly would be fine particularly while our community organizing people aren't active.
<JacobWeisz[m]> A lot of the technical work is getting done to support a bigger community push, but right now the latter isn't happening.
<ill_logic> Perhaps they're good for momentum. I'd be happy to attend and even make the announcement for Sunday. But I don't have anything to report.
<ill_logic> I haven't gotten my shit together to be able to contribute in a while but I figure I should try to keep up the habit of going to the meetings.
<ill_logic> I appreciate that you guys have been putting in the work.

<JacobWeisz[m]> I think they're nice for momentum, they're good regularly scheduled nudges, but they might be slightly too often for our current attendance level.
<JacobWeisz[m]> I totally forgot today was Tuesday, and had family stuff going on as it is.
