I think a Sandstorm.io blog post might be the best way to communicate about the TTRSS update. It gets a lot of attention and you did a lot of cool engineering on it.

I should check my feeds and see if I am or am not using https and whether they contain https references. But I got a lot of "duplicate" requests that were just http and https.

I suppose in many cases such a request would be bad, but for an RSS reader it seems less so.
