<JacobWeisz[m]>
keyoxide.org may be a suitable Keybase replacement?
<abliss>
i was looking at it a bit, trying to grok it. seems more like a decentralizable protocol for proofs and verifications?
<JacobWeisz[m]>
They proof by adding the proof link as a notation on your public key, so it doesn't depend on anyone's server.
<isd>
Yeah I don't think this really does what we're using keybase for.
<JacobWeisz[m]>
It does only the part we're using Keybase for.
<JacobWeisz[m]>
Essentially we'd lookup the key the app is signed with on openpgp.org, look at the notations, and then verify the proofs. Arguably we could either leave it on people checking to click the proofs to verify, or we could implement the verification and cache the results on the app market server somewhere to avoid people's servers making the requests themselves.
<JacobWeisz[m]>
The KeyOxide site/code is basically just a display interface, I think.
<isd>
Aha.
<isd>
We don't even have to do a lookup; we store the key itself in the spk arleady
<isd>
Reminder: office hours
<abliss>
i think the keyoxde site also does a bit of proxying for proofs where the server can't be done in a browser (dns TXT, or sites without CORS headers)

abliss, ill_logic : going to join us?

jitsi's phone gateway is refusing the conference PIN.
<abliss>
it didn't change, did it?
<isd>
Hm, I don't see dial in info in the Jitsi UI anywhere?
