<srqrebel> I set up my Stellar account shortly after it launched, verified it using my Facebook account, and received an allotted amount of Stellars. I have not been back in over a year, and now when I type http://launch.stellar.org|launch.stellar.org into my brower, and hit enter, it stays stuck on "Loading." The Stellar FAQs address the issue of being stuck on "Loading" when attempting to verify the Facebook account, b

just trying to load the page. I did disable my popup blocker as that FAQ response suggested, but the problem remains. Does anyone here know how to solve this issue? I can't do the upgrade until I can access that page.

<bartek> @srqrebel: have you tried using a different browser?
<stellar-slack1>
<bartek> (what browser are you using?)
<stellar-slack1>
<sacarlson> the site seems to be working for me at this time from a firefox browser

<matslats> Does being a 'permissioned' blockchain that it is possible to restrict account creation? Or does it only concern which nodes are allowed to participate in the blockchain?
<stellar-slack1>
<sacarlson> I don't know how to interpret that
<stellar-slack1>
<sacarlson> what is the context of "'permissioned' blockchain"
<stellar-slack1>
<raymens> if think both may apply for a blockchain to be permissioned. But for me a permissioned blockchain is one where the nodes require permission to participate
<stellar-slack1>
<matslats> Yes I understood same as @raymens so does that mean anybody can always create an account, and trade as long as they have enough STR?
<stellar-slack1>
<raymens> matslats: in the case of Stellar? Yes, everyone is allowed to participate in the network
<stellar-slack1>
<raymens> And Stellar isn't permissioned like some others are, the Stellar Organisation doesn't have to approve your validator node. It's just that your validator node has to be in a set by any node that's already in the validator set

<garbage> Hi, whether there is a similar software for stellar like a Codius for the ripple? For the possibility of using the smart contracts?
<stellar-slack1>
<garbage> Maybe someone has experience of using?
