But yes, I am curious of there is just a limit to how fast due to network latency and how long consensus just takes over the network, say, from continent to continent. May it;s just shaving off a second or less, but that's still significant if so, IMO.

<eva> @unicorn23: ah, yeah, Stellar’s also a backend platform that’s easy to develop on. The Stellar network is intended to be backend technology that anyone can integrate with or build on top of (in the same way that I believe Ethereum is, though I’m hardly an Ethereum expert.). Hope that makes sense.

I tried to look up for Ripple too but only found some old threads with dubious info, and some figures conflicting, so I guess there weren't true benchmarks. I guess a lot of this tech is new and untested at larger scales; but obviously Stellar uses the Fed. Byzantine system, so I was curious if there's an adv. there beyond listed features, in say tx processing ab
