<frenebo> Hi, does anyone know where someone could get started with SymbiFlow and FPGAs? I bought a board from Altera since I was interested in FPGAs, but I was disappointed with their software.I found SymbiFlow and IceStorm and would be interested in helping

frenebo: Currently open source flows exist or partially exists for ice40, ECP5 and Xilinx 7-series parts. The first step in creating those flows is creating the raw device database, which is icestorm for ice40, prjtrellis for ECP5, and prjxray for 7-series parts. I'm not sure of an altera bitstream documentation effort. In theory the documentation strategies in prjtrellis and prjxray might work for Altera parts.
