so I have a stupid idea: PC/104 is a superset of ISA, right? So I could totally take an open source sound blaster clone, say a Snort Boomer, and just rebuild it to have a different connector and bam. soundblaster support on a PC/104 expansion card!

I'm not saying I'm a massive nerd, but I had a dream about this channel: I met someone from here who had built a custom PCB for testing OPL2/3 chips they'd gotten off ebay, because so many of them were fakes

it was a stand-alone little thing that had a microcontroller on it of some sort that'd run the chip through the paces and give you a GOOD or BAD signal with LEDs

I... don't really want to talk about this, but... I should mention, something pretty bad happened the past week; I was diagnosed w/ lymphoma. Chances are, I'll live, thank f***.I hope I have time to work on Yamaha stuff, and I'm certainly going to try. But I'll need some time.
