🌟 [js-ipfs v0.24.0 pre-release announcement] - Hi everyone, we really close to cut a new js-ipfs minor release, v0.24, you can read all about it at -- https://github.com/ipfs/js-ipfs/issues/855. If you are using js-ipfs today, I would really appreciate if you could try it out and see if you have any problems, if you weren't using any of the internals
<daviddias>
directly, there shouldn't be any issue, but let me know :)
<ehd>
daviddias: Fantastic, will do :)
<daviddias>

if you use ipns to reference an object, does it always perform a network-wide search for the content? I'm seeing that when i add files/dirs to ipfs on one node I can quickly recall using the the content hash. if I publish the hash and use that to recall the content it will always take longer. this is normal behavior right?
<ehd>
Does js-ipfs include the name API? I would like to publish me some names.
<jborak>
it looks like the peer ID for the publish name is cached for a short time (< 1min)

Not sure if double # or single # though. I am confused by freenode naming rules
