Anyone having issues with the IETF RFC archive? I'm stuck on 491MB no matter which computer I try "ipfs get QmNvTjdqEPjZVWCvRWsFJA1vK7TTw1g9JP6we1WBJTRADM" on.

question related to libp2p .. i open a p2p listener on one node with protocol name 'p2ptest' for example. on client side i reused the 'echo' example from js-libp2p. instead of '/echo/1.0.0' as protocol name i use 'p2ptest'

you replace ipfs.io by localhost:8080 in the url.

Hi all, I am experiencing strange behaviour when I try to retrieve DAGNode objects, (CLI 'ipfs object get <hash>' and also through the ipfs Javascript API). Adding and cat-ing seems to be fine, but object retrieval hangs, eventually producing different bitswap errors:

bitswap: couldnt open sender again after SendMsg(<peer.ID UgWseh>) failed: dial attempt failed: <peer.ID f5dndG> --> <peer.ID UgWseh> dial attempt failed: dial tcp6 [2a00:1ca8:a7::9a]:4001: connect: no route to host wantmanager.go:237

@whyrusleeping, thanks. The situation keeps evolving-- I have a DAGNode object which I ipfs object put onto IPFS, then I am adding two links to this object. I can access the two linked objects via their multihashes, but when I try to access the 'master object', retrieval times out. When I try to see the list of providers via dht findprovs, this also timesout, so then I have tried to provide it manually to dht via dht provide, but
<lobeholdrain>
cannot be found locally.

thats really odd...

Hey guys, I was wondering if libp2p can handle automatically joining peers and broadcasting a message to all peers on the network?
<protosam>
If it can be used for that I need to be pointed in the right direction on what portions of the API handles those things in the Go API.
<whyrusleeping>
protosam: you can use pubsub for that likely
<whyrusleeping>
if all of your peers subscribe to a certain topic, then what you describe is easy
colatkinson has joined #ipfs
<protosam>
@whyrusleeping, the usecase is a new cryptocurrency, so everyone on the network would be doing the same stuff. I'll look into pubsub. Thanks.
