Hi, is it possible to export the path of the added-on rsync to a remote rsync? I would like to use it to sync my movies library - thanks!

fourstepper: I asked the same a couple days ago. https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/pull/4065/ implements this for libreelec 10. I was told that you could copy the script from that PR and setup a systemd service, I haven't tried to do so yet.

fourstepper: for now I'm probably just going to use --rsync-path from my workstation so it can find the addon rsync

<biberao>
hi
<biberao>
anyone knows if its possible to setup a bluetooth dongle and be able to remote control from android?
<shibboleth>
you can.... even install the kodi companion application and control it over wifi
<biberao>
kodi companion?
<biberao>
but i said bluetooth but wifi could work
<shibboleth>
i've never used it but there is, presumably, a more-or-less official droid application
<biberao>
but whats kodi companion?
<shibboleth>
a "companion" application is a more-or-less official application to "enrich" the user experience
<Ommand>
perhaps there would be more value in just naming it instead of vaguely describing it

<shibboleth>
most often a ploy to have you surrender your contact information to be able to turn on the lights (looking at you, lifx)
<shibboleth>
or adjust the volume on your sonos :)
<shibboleth>
who said anything about running your own AP?
<Ommand>
read more than the first sentence, it's the method they're using for remote control
<shibboleth>
if your droid is connected to wifi and can communicate with the rpi (which might also be connected by wifi or wired) you can remote control it over the *network*
<Ommand>
and to be clear, that's using wifi
<Ommand>
not bluetooth
<biberao>
found it
<biberao>
Ommand: i know
<biberao>
but
<biberao>
i asked for bluetooth i cant find any option
<Ommand>
I doubt if there is one
<Ommand>
use wifi
<shibboleth>
pretty sure there are bluetooth keyboard-emulator applications but it seems like going across the stream for water
<biberao>
another question i made the wifi work
<biberao>
i wonder if the tethered wifi let me go online?
<biberao>
oh wait maybe i could make it go online too
<biberao>
let me test thanks
<Ommand>
I have no idea, that tethered scheme is overly complex and very unlikely to actually be necessary
<biberao>
one more question
<biberao>
Ommand: theres no other way
<biberao>
if theres no wifi in the room
<biberao>
what app for android to control libreelec ? yatse?
<Ommand>
if there's no wifi in the room there's very little value in putting libreelec there
