<Itchy_hammeroid>
I assume this is a step forward? It seems that the Mali400 has become alive under Linux on the orange H3 based boards: https://youtu.be/if321Y7WITU

Is this of any relevance for this community?

Well guys... you are welcome. Since you seem to know what's lacking: a nice opportunity to make it perfect and get some credits too...
<Itchy_hammeroid>
At least it's working for the first time on a H3 now.. see it as a proof of concept. Why all the sarcasm?

Itchy_Hammeroid: and the license on this binaries is?
<libv>
as grey as with what tom cubie provided us?
<libv>
or much darker?
<NiteHawk>
Itchy, if you disrespect usual netiquette you'll probably have to live with a bit of sarcasm. Plus, the factual criticism on that "package" is all valid. So?
<libv>
and it is the way in which all of this is done that is being criticized mostly

hrm, 1 bit difference between egl/gl libs and libMali.so
<libv>
really strange.
<libv>
which is to probably fix different structure size in __egl_platform_swap_buffers
<libv>
right before DRI2SwapBuffers
<jelle>
I love the no warning about backups :-)
<libv>
:)
<libv>
i guess that H3 SDK comes with r4p0 mali kernel driver
<jelle>
oh hmmm
<jelle>
gonna check out sunday again how far the orangepi pc port is

<libv>
or did i misinterprete that?

<jelle>
libv: you did
<jelle>
libv: orange pi pc port as in, guy at hackerspace trying to get it mainline
<jelle>
libv: I clicked on the facebook link in the video description which directed me to an orange pi page
<jelle>
which I doubt that those are the official people behind the orange pi
<libv>
given that orange pi has problems delivering stable hw, i doubt that there are actual "official people" working on software inside some "community" for it.
<libv>
what we should actually do is take the r3p0 mali directory outside of sunxi, and make it build externally, and make sure that it also builds against the H3 SDK kernel
<libv>
it's a standard mali400mp2, so that should be no issue
