does anyone have the SPI_SUN4I working? Or is the SPI on the A20 only a bitbang?
<T0mW>
I keep getting "has no valid 'spi-max-frequency' property" regardless of what value I put in for the bus frequency.
<igraltist>
hi
<igraltist>
when the brcmfmac is hanging i can only reboot to get it working again. is there an other solution to reset

plaes: cant
<igraltist>
i dont have module enabled
<igraltist>
i will use as fallback using an old ralink rt2070
<igraltist>
plaes: iam also bound to kernel version 4.1
<plaes>
for some pci devices it's possible to call reset via sysfs
<plaes>
echo 1 /sys/bus/pci/devices/.../reset
<plaes>
err.. missing '>' ^^

T0mW: it should work fine
<mripard>
do you have your DT somewhere?
<T0mW>
mripard: phtf, spent 3 days and cannot get it working no /dev/spidev bus or device
<T0mW>
mripard: would you have a dts file that I could look over? I'm using the A20
<mripard>
T0mW: give me your DT.
<T0mW>
mripard: sorry, I just erased all that in frustration.
<T0mW>
I didn't even commit to my repo
<mripard>
great
<mripard>
so I can't help you, sorry.
<mripard>
you should declare a device, and add that property to the bus
<T0mW>
mripard: ok, instead of rewiring my pcb for i2c on that device. I'll put the dts back together and contant you another time?
<T0mW>
mripard: ok, instead of rewiring my pcb for i2c on that device. I'll put the dts back together and contact you another time?
<mripard>
if you do what I just said and it still doesn't work, yeah, sure
<T0mW>
mripard: just when I think I know device trees, I don't. The iio devices on the i2c were easy to get working as well as a bunch of GPIO ins / outs. SPI keeps bitching about an invalid 'max-spi-frequency'
<T0mW>
mripard: spent the past two days with kgdboc, heh. Thanks, I've a birthday party to goto today.
<T0mW>
mripard: btw, I am on the 4.3 kernel?

Hi, Probably been lurking here a couple of years now :)
<cajg>
I've got a couple of old mk802+ on the lan here, and nothing I can do seems to prevent them from showing up on the lan with the same mac address
<cajg>
tried spoofing with hwaddresss in /etc/network.interfaces
<cajg>
Will gcc 5 be ok for compiling sunxi-tools, or not?

Hm, in the script.bin there's an entry:
<cajg>
[dynamic]
<cajg>
MAC = "000000000000"
<cajg>
so the mac address must be being set somewhere aelse later in the boot process
<cajg>

Hello, I've managed to build U-Boot from github.com/jwrdegoede/u-boot-sunxi sunxi-wip branch using patches from github.com/jemk/u-boot-sunxi h3 branch. This booted to u-boot prompt but wouldn't boot a kernel. I rebuilt u-boot using sun8i-h3-* device tree files from github.com/jwrdegoede/linux-sunxi sunxi-wip branch and the kernel from that branch now boots, but doesn't make it all the way, see http://pastebin.com/QkfZMw5e for
<TroyD>
u-boot/kernel log ... any pointers on how to progress further?
