C128 update: now there's white crustiness around the components that used to be covered with white stuff and there appears to be some sort of staining in some places on the underside of the board which I hope aren't shadows of ripped bodge wires from my towel but I'm not sure and I don't see any loose bodge wires in the towel or on the floor
