<Lord_Nightmare> Foone: you'd probably like this. I've been messing with decoding one of the original distributions of the hershey fonts, and ended up getting a little hyper-focused and ended up writing an ascii-art renderer/plotter for them
<Lord_Nightmare> the way the data is packed into 30-bit signed words is... silly, but that's now N. Wolcott did it back in 1977
<Lord_Nightmare> you can mess with the booleans on lines 1207 and 1208, 1208 makes it display a set of 22 special symbol characters that N. Wolcott added, and are not part of the normal hershey font set
<Lord_Nightmare> 1207 makes it draw every single stroke of each character so you can see how each are drawn step by step
<Lord_Nightmare> the commented-out block on line 118-121 draws a grid like graph paper 'behind' the text, but the brightess of this grid sort of 'shows through' the text due to the way the wu antialiased renderer works by peeking at the old "pixel" value first before adding brightness to it

<Sarayan> Oh, that kind of cube
<Sarayan> I thought Rubik's cube for some reason

<Lord_Nightmare> Foone: updated the program a LOT
<Lord_Nightmare> download it again
<Lord_Nightmare> its hershey fonts rendered with ascii art with 16 (17?) colors of greyscale antialiased
<Lord_Nightmare> its not all the hershey characters though
<Lord_Nightmare> I got a little sidetracked and gave it way too many features
