well hello. 24 hours later and feeling much better, I got whatever stomach flu my daughter/son/wife had. Quite unpleasany
<lanefu>
Eww sounds brutal
<sarnold>
:(
<lanefu>
Congratulations on your recovery
<Tonymac32>
It was bad, I've had 1 worse than that, a couple years ago, hope not to repeat
<Tonymac32>
So far it looks good. I couldn't keep down water last night
<Tonymac32>
ate food with no ill consequence starting around 12:00
<lanefu>
Yeash
<Tonymac32>
Also, approving a PO for my boards. ;-)
<lanefu>
Woohoo. Bulk order of obsidian?
<Tonymac32>
yeah, 100 of them, and the balance of my stock from the campaign build
<lanefu>
That's great man
<lanefu>
You ever gonna do a vga hat?
<lanefu>
I kinda wanna use mine as a terminal of some sort
<Tonymac32>
I designed one, but enabling the PS2 mouse and keyboard was killing it, I need to revisit it
<Tonymac32>
You're talking about using FabGL, correct?
<lanefu>
Uhh i have no idea how id do it lol
<lanefu>
Lemme lookup fabgl
<lanefu>
Yes it looks like fabgl would be the path
<Tonymac32>
haha I have the VGA part working no problem, I'll take a look again at the keyboard/mouse stuff
<Tonymac32>
FabGL-Hat, if you use OSHPARK you can just download, drag and drop the kicad_pcb wilfe onto their webpage
<Tonymac32>
file*
<Tonymac32>
Kind of at your own risk at present, I don't think I uploaded the pin assignments for the library anywhere...
<Tonymac32>
lol just noticed I had an issue opened on the hat, someone asking me to use a different EDA format. I use the free one, rofl.
<Tonymac32>
alright, enough time upright I think, probably some tea and bed. Hopefully talk to everyone tomorrow

Hi IgorPec, Hi lanefu; I am volunteer to make those tests, and I am volunteer to write that documentation.
<stulluk80>
I have A13, A20, A64 based boards, and have free time to perform the tests
<stulluk80>
I was one of the backers for the kickstarter project made by bootlin for the cedrus. But the result of that project was not very clear for me.
<stulluk80>
Because their patches were not merged to mainline yet ( I think still not )
<stulluk80>
And their PoC work was made for libva-request, but there was no step-by-step introduction.
<IgorPec>
cedrusx routines are inside our kernel, but i haven't try anything
<stulluk80>
Before writing here, I also checked your commits for Cedrus, but it seems DT changes are made only for H6, not for A20 or A64 ?
<stulluk80>
Yes, I want to try it and document it for you
<stulluk80>
Can I ? :)
<IgorPec>
possible. I only enable driver, nothing else
<IgorPec>
if you can move from here and make it work, welcome
<stulluk80>
Sure, I will move from here, and try to make it work. I plan to start with Pine64, because it is very popular board
<stulluk80>
Unfortunately, I am not very experienced in Armbian build system
<IgorPec>
1st step is to make it by hand, next its get implemented
<stulluk80>
"Make by hand" -> Modify DT, Modify Kernel, and see result ?
<stulluk80>
And finally, there is no more any way to build 3.10 kernel with armbian ?
<stulluk80>
Is there a way ?
<IgorPec>
yes, manual way to se if it works, then move in changes with patches or some other way ... we can help here with advises
<IgorPec>
3.10 is no more, yes
<IgorPec>
you can build the kernel with older version of build script, but you are on your own
<stulluk80>
Yes, thank you very much, I will need your advises

IgorPec, one last question. G2D acceleration on FBTURBO was available on 3.x kernels. Do you know, did anybody worked on it for newer kernels ?

I use multiple H3 Orange Pi's with volumes mounted via NFS. When running a lot of traffic through those NFS volumes the Orange Pi's crash after a certain time. Is this a known issue?
<kilobyte_ch>
I face this issue since ~2 Years. Tested it multiple times with different Armbian Versions in that time frame. Not sure if this is a Armbian or Kernel or Hardware issue.

kilobyte_ch: i've had a similar situation with spontaneous outages.... despite log shipping and monitoring its been hard to pin down..... have had good stability with latest kernel

seemingly stable

kilobyte_ch: having crashes during high I/O periods or slow periods?
<robmur01_>
I don't quite see how the host driver ends up working when the phy driver is entirely absent, but it would certainly seem to explain link issues
<steev>
hm
<steev>
CONFIG_PHY_ROCKCHIP_PCIE=m is what i see here in mine
<robmur01_>
oh, wait, I'm being an idiot - that's the 32-bit config isn't it :(
