<Wanlorn>
I guess I don't understand that part of the process just yet. I have had 30 GRC for about 2 days. I'm in the pool. Should I expect to see GRC move from balance into the Stake line eventually? Do I need to do the beacon thingy?
<Wanlorn>
Not trying to rush, just curious
<lexieric>
ive had 100 grc staking for 2 weeks and nothing has moved
<xXUnRealXx>
ez
<xXUnRealXx>
10 grc is min but if mah low or no research it can take LONG
<xXUnRealXx>
mah=mag
<d_o_c>
If you getting rewards from the pool all is good. Just have patience.
<xXUnRealXx>
if ur in pool
<xXUnRealXx>
pool will pay u put u don't stake same way
<lexieric>
so i wont stake if im in the pool
<Wanlorn>
so as long as I am in the pool, I should not expect to stake?
<xXUnRealXx>
if u on pool you can only Stake PoS and that interest on your balance thus that can take months if no research
<lexieric>
so its not worth leaving client running 24/7
<xXUnRealXx>
it is
<xXUnRealXx>
u need work
<lexieric>
and if you research what do you stake
<xXUnRealXx>
no work no mag no grc
<lexieric>
im in the pool
<xXUnRealXx>
it shouldn't take long
<xXUnRealXx>
2-3 days
<Wanlorn>
I'll give it to the end of the weekend and ask again then
<Hooker63>
d_o_c, I removed the boinc program and direcotry lines (since i installed default) and it seems to be 'better'. shows my project and status: BOINC mining now...

Thanks
<xXUnRealXx>
without pool and 550grc and mag of 150-200 took me 3 weeks to stake when I started

hi there guys. i have been researching on moowrapper for about 11 days so far. my magnitude is 35, will it grow constantly or will its eventually level out ??

IPS is a monitor type that "specializes" in being able to see from all angles.
<d_o_c>
will level out

other LCD monitors for example, will get light and color distortion

The main thing with solo mining is it takes a bit to built up the min RAC you need
<MCWarriorz>
so about 15 hours a day
<Randomacts>
so you will have a period of not gaining GRC until you hit that min amount
<MCWarriorz>
i have time, but I heard that not having a large amount of GRC in your wallet currently won't allow you to like get good blocks or something

Newbie with a question...
<Phay>
hi
<Thumos>
My new install of Gridcoin wallet is taking a looooooong time to sync for the first time.
<Phay>
yea.. it does that :v
<Phay>
how long is long tho?
<Thumos>
I installed 3 days ago, have left it running almost 24/7 since then, and it's still only synced at about 59%
<Phay>
hmm
<Phay>
so it's still moving
<Phay>
if it is still moving... i'd continue to wait. B/c others will start it over and well, have to wait again
<Thumos>
Yes, it's making progress, but unbelievably slowly. My Bitcoin wallet synced for the first time faster than this.
<Phay>
even if the second time went faster

Has anyone else experienced problems with BOINC manager and Windows 10 taskbar? As in, taskbar being unresponsive when BOINC manager is running
<Kutowi>
Nevermind, just due to the high CPU usage and Windows 10 being a bit shit. Thought I had already tested that.
<Sander96_XPS13>
Maybe run BOINC for 90%?

<Gary760>
Katiee I'm getting an error in my BOINC client log when connecting to the pool: [error] Inconsistent signing key from account manager

<shaarad>
All my machines show last contact like 24 hours back
<shaarad>
Mag is improving though for whatever machines listed in stats already
<shaarad>
Everything was going fine till yesterday
<shaarad>
Is there some maximum limit of hosts per profile?
<shaarad>
There is some problem for sure
<shaarad>
Pool login from machine and synchronization does not give any error

<shaarad>
Problem is, on machine I am able to log in to pool
<shaarad>
The machine doesn't appear in my hosts table in pool profile
<Deviantone>
is this a windows machine?
<Deviantone>
or nix?
<shaarad>
I also disconnected one of the existing crunching machines from pool and logged in again. It's logging in now but unable to get any projects from pool
<shaarad>
Windows machine
<Deviantone>
Well that definitely sounds like a problem, but unfortunately maybe only one Katiee can address
<shaarad>
I have done this process like 5-6 times so I know the process of adding a machine to pool
<shaarad>
On my profile, all the hosts say last contact 24 hours ago
<shaarad>
While all are getting new tasks and crunching for pool
<Deviantone>
I vaguely recall some issue with a nix client version and the pool, but not aware of any issues with winders
<shaarad>
It's very strange
<Deviantone>
You can try to catch Katiee here or post on the forum.

I haven't been getting as much as I expected from the pool. According to the calculator, I should be getting every day about what I get every other day when the pool pays out. Is the estimation just way off?

Well, unless the fees are ~25 GRC/day, that's not what I'm getting
