best solution for small wiki is disable posting (of links or altogether) and only enable it manually for selected users

since spammers need links to increase their site rating inability to post links should be good eanough

it should be possible to have accounts autoregister but require manual confirmation to post links that are linkified by mediawiki

Tsvetan: probably they were created before you put the extension and it will probably take a few days before they start coming again

I do not know where the stuff is set up. on AW wiki there is an extension that uses some spam filter on posts

and it gives a message that you should stop in irc if your post was marked as spam

so in practice people who past are excluded from the filter becase it has much false positives

actually it looks like the nuke extension is what you need to prevent the links from history remaining on the wiki
