<tomatopeel>
is it possible for a file to be pinned directly as a single block?
<tomatopeel>
ah so a tiny file like: echo a | ipfs add # is added as a single block, but pinned recursively
<tomatopeel>
so if this isn't a use case for a direct single block pinning, then what is?

hm? of course you can pin single blocks

Recursive pins for single blocks act exaclty the same as direct pins

And you can pin directly with `ipfs pin add --recursive=false hash`

just seems like a direct pin doesn't really have a use case when a single block recursive pin is fine
<r0kk3rz>
theres a couple i can think of, but they're edge cases for sure

with the default configuration, will my node clear unpinned content from the datastore if it goes over 10G? If so, what is --enable-gc for? If not, how come?
