<stellar-slack1> <eva> New update on the http://Stellar.org|Stellar.org team and community! Hoping that this helps increase transparency in what http://Stellar.org|Stellar.org is working on, and what’s happening in the community that might not be visible on Slack. Feedback is very welcome! https://www.stellar.org/blog/stellar-report-jobs-bbc-interview-lagos/
<stellar-slack1> <john> @eva that's an excellent update! Thanks! A feedback? I think it would be great to have regular updates like this one. I particularly like the way you've split the post with subtitle. The last one open's up the reader's appetite for what's coming soon. Well done!
<stellar-slack1> <eva> Thank you! @john we try to do ‘em every two weeks, but I haven’t been able to get them out regularly for the past couple months. Trying to fix that :) Appreciate the feedback!

<stellar-slack1> <raymens> Agreed with john, I would love to have more reports like that every other week or so. Thanks eva!
<stellar-slack1> <eva> Awesome, thanks @raymens. Really happy to hear that it’s helpful.
<stellar-slack1> <john> The first time I watched The Terminator, I was about 12 and I did nightmares afterword... Today I had the same feelings when I saw this: http://news.sky.com/story/1647641/watch-google-robot-bounce-back-after-fall
<stellar-slack1> <eva> Ah… a little bit uncanny valley, yeah...
<stellar-slack1> <eva> on the other hand, awesome
<stellar-slack1> <john> yeah... awesome & scary at the same time. I guess it won't take long before the defense will send these robots in the field...
<stellar-slack1> <eva> Whoa, apparently we broke 1000 members here when I wasn’t looking! :confetti_ball:
<stellar-slack1> <joyce> Wow! So good to see so many people here
<stellar-slack1> <jed> wow nice
<stellar-slack1> <rockedy> looking forward with it , but it would be nice if the thread would still be moderated , by the way the kebab in germany is also nice haha
<stellar-slack1> <eva> @rockedy: what do you mean by “the thread would still be moderated?"
<stellar-slack1> <rockedy> the stellar thread on bitcointalk looks like theres no dev active at the last time
<stellar-slack1> <rockedy> Last post from January
<stellar-slack1> <rockedy> yours
<stellar-slack1> <eva> Oh, I see @rockedy. Honesty Bitcointalk isn’t one of our main community platforms. I do try to update there and reply when people ask questions, though. The main action is here in Slack :)
<stellar-slack1> <rockedy> I think that would be useful. I didn't now slack before a week... and now only because of stellar.
<stellar-slack1> <rockedy> a active dev represents always trust
<stellar-slack1> <eva> We definitely have active developers. They just don’t mostly hang out on bitcointalk. We have a lot of people in the community who are actually totally new to digital currency, so they wouldn’t have been on Bitcointalk.
<stellar-slack1> <dzham> @john: I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords
<stellar-slack1> <lab> @eva thanks for the update. i have questions not mentioned in it: is the daily offering of 3mil xlm lasted weeks in kraken from inflation? is it included in the quota of 5% for operational costs?
<stellar-slack1> <eva> Hey lab :) The offered lumens are part of the 5% operational costs, yes. (per mandate https://www.stellar.org/about/mandate/#Continued_funding_of_the_foundation_and_auction )
<stellar-slack1> <eva> In terms of tracking which funds come from inflation, I think the best way to track that would be querying the ledger, but I’m not sure. Maybe @jed can confirm.
<stellar-slack1> <lab> and also we had financial report in 2014 https://www.stellar.org/about/governance/#Financials
<stellar-slack1> <lab> will 2015 be opened?
<stellar-slack1> <joyce> Yes, we need everything to be reviewed and approved by our accountants which always takes a lot of time we are learning
<stellar-slack1> <lab> i think some more information should be in public according to https://www.stellar.org/about/mandate/#Transparency
