<eva> @lab posting quarterly financials is actually going above and beyond financial reporting requirements; we do try to do them, but the requirement is just annual. https://www.stellar.org/blog/understanding-non-profit-basics/
<stellar-slack1>
<joyce> Nonprofits are required to post their annuals which typically get published nearly a year after the year is closed. We have been beating this and will continue to try to beat this
<stellar-slack1>
<lab> i saw "Quarterly budget" in mandate
<stellar-slack1>
<joyce> yes, we published the quarterlies for 2014 already - we are working on 2015
<stellar-slack1>
<lab> and "Details/mechanism of the various lumen distribution programs" should include current offering IMHO
<stellar-slack1>
<joyce> what is an “offering” ? i think i am unclear in what you are referring to
<stellar-slack1>
<eva> do you mean that you’d like to see that announcement linked from the mandate page?
<stellar-slack1>
<lab> thanks eva, i was just searching the post to explain "offering" to joyce.
<stellar-slack1>
<lab> the mechanism in the post "The current plan is to offer the lumens in small amounts on separate occasions and at the market price on the exchange at time of placement." matched what i saw except a bit misunderstanding of "small amounts"
<stellar-slack1>
<lab> if more detailed published there would be less misunderstanding.
<stellar-slack1>
<lab> "Details/mechanism of the various lumen distribution programs"
<stellar-slack1>
<lab> :)
<stellar-slack1>
<eva> Ohhh I see what you’re saying, and I could see how we could clarify that. We’re actually working on a version two of the mandate, so the feedback is helpful. I think what it means by small amount/separate occasions is that it won’t be all 5% at once.
<stellar-slack1>
<eva> "While mobile money is reaching further than ever before, there is still an opportunity to reach underserved segments, particularly women and rural consumers” <— this is key
<stellar-slack1>
<lab> In one sense, the 100 billion lumens was donated to sdf from me. so please forgive my curiosity about how "my" lumens is used :)

<thanh> toward a better/flatter 'infrastructure' to do business, it's great to see Stripe Atlas. Very cool effort from @pc https://stripe.com/atlas :+1:

<gevs>
hello people, my customer has been trying to use stellar (probably got some on an exchange when he saw a good % in increases or so i dont know) but know we are fighting to get a login to your wallets :P
<gevs>
am i missing something? i dont seem to find a registration page or so
<stellar-slack>
<sacarlson> @gevs might you have the older system numbers before the upgrade a few months ago?
<stellar-slack>
<sacarlson> do you have the public address available (the not secret one)
<gevs>
i think he has nothing except a few lumens from an exchange, so this would mean his wallet is at bittrex for example
<gevs>
but now he is trying to install your android app if i have followed correctly
<gevs>
but doesnt have a username for it, and we couldnt find a register page :)
<gevs>
i dont have the public address right now he would be responding in the next 15 mins approx.
<stellar-slack>
<sacarlson> gevs accounts have no names needed, just a two number set one big public 56 letter and the other private. if it's in an exchange then they can issue you a set of numbers or you can provide the exchange with the numbers you want them to send your funds to
<gevs>
i understand thank you :)
<gevs>
i guess for our case my customer will check on the exchange to get this
<stellar-slack>
<sacarlson> yes
<stellar-slack>
<sacarlson> and the android app for example Centaurus auto creates a random set account numbers when you first run it. you could provide that number to the exchange to have them send fundings to that https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.xcoins.centaurus&hl=en
