<andlabs> cr1901_modern / ej5 what is that a picture of?
<andlabs> from?
<andlabs> what chip
<ej5> that's just a board i designed and have been working with
<Lord_Nightmare> ej5 btw do you have the means to trace the signals on the aim65 printer that feed back to the printer pia to let the system know where the carriage is horizontally etc?
<Lord_Nightmare> using a logic analyzer?
<Lord_Nightmare> Foone_: did you get a chance to redump the corona portable's main firmware rom?
<ej5> i have the means, i just haven't thought to do it
<Foone_> Lord_Nightmare: yeah. the archive post has been updated
<Lord_Nightmare> ok

<Lord_Nightmare> Foone_: did you let tahg know?
<Lord_Nightmare> i think he was working on a MAME driver for it but the old ROM wasn't usable
<Foone_> I posted it in the thread, I don't know if he saw it
<Lord_Nightmare> ah. the old dump looks like D5 was stuck high, and A9 was stuck low
<Lord_Nightmare> A10 also stuck low
<Lord_Nightmare> and A11
<Lord_Nightmare> weird
<Lord_Nightmare> looks like just those 4
<Lord_Nightmare> new dump looks much better
<Lord_Nightmare> did you dump it a few times and compare? I assume so...
<Foone_> yep.
<Lord_Nightmare> i think the new dump is good
<Lord_Nightmare> now i guess the next project is figuring out why the system itself doesn't even try to start up, i'm assuming the fault is the PSU
<Lord_Nightmare> could be something with the HV section to supply the crt
<Lord_Nightmare> Foone_: do you have one of those ISA diagnostic card things?

<Foone_> I do! I haven't tried it with this one yet because this computer is a nightmare to work on
<Foone_> I'm not really planning to keep working on it for now. I just have a bunch of other projects stacked up on my desk right now and a few more about to arrive, so I think now that I dumped the ROMs I'm just gonna throw it all in a (very big) box and toss it into storage for later
<Lord_Nightmare> i assume after putting it back together?
<Lord_Nightmare> I have had 1 or 2 projects where i never found all the parts coming back to them later

<balrog> andlabs: any reason you don't thread your tweets?
<Lord_Nightmare> I have two c64 psus, and i suspect both are bad already. I haven't powered them on since last testing them, so any salvagable components inside are probably still ok
<Lord_Nightmare> but last i heard its going to be like mining into a brick of epoxy to get anything out
<andlabs> balrog: mostly becaus I sent those from the Notifications screen
<andlabs> and yeah, the C64 PSU is bad
<andlabs> but I did have a third party one
<andlabs> didn't help here, obviously
<andlabs> atom retro; would still recommend anyway
