mmicho I have a problem with a line, in arachne-pnr Makefile. VER_HASH = $(shell echo "$(ARACHNE_VER) $(GIT_REV)" | sum | cut -d ' ' -f -1). I don't know what to include, such that sum can be found. Any idea I need this to create the file src/version_$(HASH). Any ideas?
<develonepi3>
mmicko I meant you not mmicho. Sorry.

I have just made the combination of yosys+nextpnr+Xilinx ISE's backend for bitstream generation on Spartan 6 work and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the open source tools
<mwk>
what
<mwk>
how are you using nextpnr for Spartan 6? it doesn't yet support Spartan 6

<phyrexian>
no, apparently looking at the script it uses yosys and ISE's PNR
<mwk>
alright
<mwk>
for a moment I thought someone hacked up an S6 backend when I wasn't looking :p
<phyrexian>
just thought at first is uses nexpnr and ISE for bitstream, but then I looked more closely at the script :)
<mwk>
not yet
<mwk>
give it a month or two

Hi, is it possible to use the Zynq 7000 PS and PL without the wrapper ip from Xilinx? I got the PL working based on the yosys basys example. But when I load it, the PS doesn't responce anymore. Is there any documentaion how to connect them by hand?
