Hello! Hope everyone is doing well :-)
<ashthespy>
I recently got an invitation to Jira - how exactly do you guys use it?
<Werner>
Mostly as issue tracker from staff that brought to our attention via forums for example

<ashthespy>
Hmm okay! so it's more a project maintenance kind of thing?
<ashthespy>
btw - what is the best way to move up a minor kernel version? I have a 5.5.y tree with a few patches, and would like to move to 5.6.y now.. Is the only way forward fixing merge conflicts manually? Or am I missing something?
<Tenkawa>
Werner: you guys don't use Confluence too do you?
<Werner>
I dont think so
<Werner>
ashthespy, yes, that is pretty much it. Check what patches fail to apply due to changes from upstream and fix them
<Tenkawa>
nod.. if you did I was going to have a chilling memory of my past life
<ashthespy>
Werner - ouch, now I see the motivation of getting work into the mainline tree..
<Werner>
And this can take a year or more until it is accepted...
<ashthespy>
:O
<ashthespy>
Okkay, back to the drawing board then!

IgorPec just a heads up - I don't find any of the dev kernel builds for the RockpiS target at https://www.armbian.com/rockpi-s/ Even in the "Unstable automated builds" section..
<Tenkawa>
Werner: I spent a large part of my career as a build integrator, dba and sysadmin so I still keep up on all of this stuff even though my career is done
<IgorPec>
ashthespy: huh. i would need to check. probably builds are not enabled ... we could probably merge that to rockchip64 now?
<IgorPec>
before a release, the same set of images are build as nightly
<IgorPec>
stable = nightly ... to have an actual images set
<IgorPec>
I'll fix it
<IgorPec>
or you can fix it by changing beta - > stable
<ashthespy>
Ah - but I do recall there being some 5.x kernel builds previously?
<IgorPec>
nightly images are purged
<ashthespy>
okay, should I open up a PR then?
<IgorPec>
yes, do it
<ashthespy>
done..
<ashthespy>
hopefully the right way..
<IgorPec>
yes, right way, thanks

@armbian (armbian): Check out our "SBC power control serial multiplexer". Its a community designed tool to support #CI #QA automated testing. Thanks to all that were implemented in a design and to @Olimex for covering the assembly costs. https://t.co/MDUF4kcNlehttps://t.co/DZzyFspK8b (9s ago)

^ Sweet!
<IgorPec>
yeah. i hope it will also work sweet :)

Tonymac32: hek
<nekomancer[m]>
strange unique connectors
<IgorPec>
where?
<nekomancer[m]>
between board and microsd connectors
<nekomancer[m]>
now long that cables can be?
<IgorPec>
you mean this test board?
<nekomancer[m]>
to place arount testable connected SBC
<nekomancer[m]>
yes
<IgorPec>
i don't know yet. we have to put it together :)
<IgorPec>
you should ask the board designer, i don't know those details yet
<nekomancer[m]>
how long microsd HC or XC wires can be at all? I suppose not so long...
<IgorPec>
50 - 100cm?
<Tonymac32>
look like mini-spox
<IgorPec>
o tony, you already assembled one ?:)
<nekomancer[m]>
who knows...
<IgorPec>
how many sd card adators did you get? i only have them for two boards
macc24 has joined #armbian
<Tonymac32>
I got one for each board I think.
<nekomancer[m]>
no one :)
<Tonymac32>
I haven't put anything together yet, they just got here a bit ago
<IgorPec>
yeah, i only assembled 1st board then i figure out i ran out of spacers :)
